Let s hope we can return to an era when our political debate is more about policy than people
This Wednesday, Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States. His inaugural address – given amid thousands of military personnel providing now-sadly needed security – is expected to focus on unity.
At this point, days before the transition, does unity stand a chance?
The fact that it s Joe Biden giving that speech is a disappointment to most voters in our community, as roughly 70% supported President Trump in November. It s likely, even after the events of Jan. 6, that if the vote was held today, Trump would still outpoll Joe Biden in the county. That s how entrenched we are in political lanes.

As The Democrats take over both the Congress and the Presidency I keep wondering exactly what they mean by it is a time for all of us to unify. What exactly do they mean by unity? The double standard they are employing does not demonstrate their desire to unify the nation. Maybe it‘s me but how can we “unify” when.……..
They have turned Washington DC into an armed camp for the “VIRTUAL” Inauguration claiming Trump supporters are expected to cause trouble. As I remember when President Trump was sworn in there was coordinated violence in many cities caused by the Left. Pink Hat “Vagina Ladies”, ANTIFA and other groups burned and destroyed property. On Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, various organizations across Louisiana s capital city are participating in observances of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Among these observances is a very special event at the Knock Knock Children s Museum.
The popular children s museum is celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. by inviting children to create their own peace flag and poster and assist the museum in planting a special I have a Dream tree.
